The Three Compasses is a 700-year old roadhouse in a picturesque village location, near Hanningfield reservoir, which is famous for its trout fishing and local nature reserves. Located on the edge of the village green at West Hanningfield, six miles south of Chelmsford. rosemary Cotton and her family have been serving the public for 33 years and has been a free house since 1998. It is still a traditional village pub with homemade food, fine ales and a welcoming atmosphere.

In the saloon bar, the inglenook fireplace with its open fire is ideal for a warm after a walk on a crisp winter's day.

If you like a typical old fashioned English pub, The Three Compasses is certainly worth a visit at any time of the year.
