Whilst our volunteer editors will do their best to ensure our events listings are as up to date and accurate as possible; with the fast pace of how things are changing, it is inevitable that some will slip through the net. A night of rock and roll featuring tributes to Billy Fury and Elvis Presley. Alan Wilcox will be doing his fantastic tribute to Billy Fury bringing you songs like, Thousand Stars and Stand by me. Taking on the role of Elvis will be Ivan Brady, who will be bringing you classic songs like Don't be Cruel and Can't Help Falling in Love. Both artists tour solo, but tonight they bring their acts together in this special show where… "Billy Fury meets Elvis Presley”.

This time transferred to the Headgate’s main Auditorium, this is another opportunity to see this gripping, powerfully acted play that was staged in the Headgate Studio to great acclaim earlier this year. Liam is a disturbed young man who finds himself trapped between two worlds: the dark allure of violence and the healing power of love.

Thirteen-year-old Conor and his Mum have been managing fine since his dad moved to America, but now she is very sick, and his Gran, with whom he has a difficult relationship, has to become involved in looking after him. He is visited by the Monster in the yew tree at the bottom of the garden, who tells him three tales from when it walked the earth. When they are told, Conor must tell his story and face his darkest fears.

Why not join us, a Christian based club for men and women that is open to non-Christians. Sing a hymn of your younger days, share memories and have someone to have a game of draughts, dominoes etc. There will always be someone to have a have a chat with or you could join in a singalong! Chelmsford Chess Club meet at North Springfield Community Association, Forsythia Close (1.2 miles)
Chelmsford Chess Club is an established and sucessful chess club with over 30 full-time members, whose standards range from beginner through to county level. Affiliated to the British Chess Federation, the club competes in the North Essex Chess League (NECL) where, this year, it's highly successful 'A' team were crowned League Champions for the 3rd successive season. In all, the club fields 4 teams in the league, providing all members with the opportunity to experience competitive chess. It also hosts an annual Club Championship as well as a time-handicapped 'Summer Tournament'.

Chelmsford Gym Club meet at Chelmsford, Rodney Way (1.4 miles)
The club started about 30 years ago and has always been based at Dovedale Sports Centre, Vicarage Road, Chelmsford. Julie Belemore, the current Head Coach, took over the club in 1992. When Julie took over the club had 20 girls, training on two badminton courts on a Saturday. We now have over 300 gymnasts training throughout the week at our purpose built centre which opened in April 2012.
We currently have 3 Essex champions: 2 silver medalists and a regional finalist and the British 2011 Veterans Champion

The vision of the Gap Youth Group is aimed at young people between the ages of 11-16. However, young people who are above this age range are welcome to take part. South Essex Gymnastics Club meet at Basildon Sporting Village, Cranes Farm Road, Basildon (9.6 miles)
We offer parent and toddler classes that are open for anybody to come with their children and structured Pre-school classes for children from the age of 2 years. We offer one hour Gymschool classes for children who are at full time school and are beginners. We also offer a slightly more advanced class that lasts for two hours. We have squad groups in all three of our disciplines; Men’s and Women’s Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastics. They train from one day a week to six days a week depending on their level of ability. We have classes for adult gymnastics, freestyle and disability gymnastics. We also run fun sessions in the holidays and the gym is available at the weekends to host parties.
